When stepping into Southern Shangri-La, an Airbnb Business located in Charleston, South Carolina, it’s like going on a behind the scenes trip around the world.

Inspired by the founders’ yearly surf trips to Indonesia plus their exotic plants, travel trinkets and custom furniture, we sought to create a brand balanced between a tropical, modern feel and a playful-yet-vintage aesthetic to match the streets of Charleston. It was important to reassure guests that Southern Shangri-La was going to bring a sense of southern hospitality mixed in perfectly with the essence of laidback and cruisy travel.
